Ringway sponsors South West Highways Alliance event

Ringway is delighted to be sponsoring a South West Highways Alliance event at Bristol’s SS Great Britain Museum, where Regional Director Nick Goddard will take part in a panel discussion alongside other key industry speakers.

Nick will highlight the challenges and opportunities that modern communications methods create when it comes to informing, and being informed by, our customers and the travelling public.

The inaugural South West Highway Alliance conference and exhibition is taking place today (14 June) and is focusing on the funding landscape and delivery options available to local highway authorities.

The event brings together more than 100 local authority practitioners, contractors, suppliers and consultants from across the South West and nationally to share knowledge and experience of best practice.

Among those in attendance will be Ringway Divisional Manager Nick Radford, who is responsible for the Highways England South West Maintenance and Response Contract. He will be joined by SWH Managing Director Richard Towl and Pre-Construction Manager Abie Hearn.

Nick Goddard, Ringway Regional Director, said: “Customer reported defects are an everyday feature of our business but to a scale that is unprecedented compared to years ago.

“Allowing people to share their experience of the highways network through photos, comments and stories gives us a much richer view of the asset – and helps us to position ‘highways’ as a valuable community asset – something we all know and believe in.”
