Our teams are focused on delivering the County Council’s vision to provide a safe, efficient and resilient transport system that serves the needs of business and residents across Hertfordshire and minimises its impact on the environment. We are working hard to maintain and improve the 5,000 km of roads, 5,000 km of footways and cycleways, 2,500 bridges and structures, 110,000 street lights, 15,000 illuminated signs, 4,000 subway lights, 5,900 safety bollards, 580 sets of traffic lights, 165,000 road gullies, pipes, manholes and soakaways, as well as environmental services including grass cutting, trees, shrubs and hedges maintenance, and assorted street furniture, road markings and guard railings.

This service we provide in Hertfordshire brings together all of the highway network management, maintenance and design services available within Ringway to improve the transport network and enhance the quality of life for local people.
