Ringway are looking for a Supervisor based in Stevenage to direct a team to undertake routine highway maintenance including Vehicle Cross Overs, Footway Reconstruction, Kerbing, Small Machine Surfacing and Carriageway Hand Patching.


Key Tasks/Accountabilities: 

  • Working safely and being responsible for personal safety, the safety of the whole team, and that of others who come in to contact with our work
  • Maximising value and to minimize cost, ensure costs are correctly allocated and be responsible for costs & value to ensure all relevant financial, commercial process & procedures are followed
  • Ensuring all required checks of plant, equipment & vehicles are carried out including completion of associated reports
  • Ensuring all required daily and weekly record sheets are accurately completed
  • Travel within County of Hertfordshire.  Some travel may also be required nationally 

Skills/Experience Required: 

  • Level 2 in Management/Leadership desired
  • Team Leader experience of Highway Maintenance & medium sized schemes
  • Understanding of Health, Safety & Quality requirements
  • A valid driving licence (essential) with LGV Class 2 (advantageous)
  • Winter Service NVQ (advantageous)
  • Microsoft office, Papyrus, Kehops, ArcGIS, Confirm 

The ideal candidate will be able to work on own initiative, good decision maker, methodical

and logical.  Be flexible and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment with

challenging targets, good communications interpersonal skills. Be able to build and maintain

effective working relationships with customers both internally & externally.
