Eurovia Infrastructure wins major resurfacing contract in Kent

Eurovia Infrastructure has won Kent County Council’s Road Asset Renewal Framework Contract to resurface the rural and urban network throughout the county.

The Contract is due to commence on 1st July and has a term of 30 months, at a value of approximately £8 million per annum, with an option to extend year-on-year for a further two years up to 2022.

The contract will build upon the current Kent Highways Resurfacing Contract being delivered by Eurovia, which ends in June.

The tendering process was led by Bid Director Neil Huntington and Bid Manager John Rigby. Nick Boland led on the commercial pricing with review by Kevin Siveter, while Andy Hemmings led on the quality bid submission with further support on the tender by commercial teams in the company’s Cheshunt and Horsham offices.

Neil Huntington, Eurovia Contracting Regional Director, said: “This has been a fantastic team effort by our commercial departments both in Cheshunt and Horsham, with support from the current Kent delivery team, working as an effective unit to secure this important contract.

“It further strengthens our Eurovia Contracting business and the contract will provide vital work packages for our White Lining and Joint Seal operations. This vital re-win provides us with the opportunity to continue delivering resurfacing works in the county.

“We are looking forward to working collaboratively with Kent County Council to improve the standard and condition of the area network, while ensuring disruption is minimised and congestion is reduced resulting in safer roads. This is a wonderful result, and great news for all our staff in Eurovia Contracting and across our wider businesses.”
