Eurovia UK achieves ISO 55001
A presentation was held on Friday 19th May in the Hounslow Highways offices where Martin Clack, Hounslow Highways Divisional Director, accepted the certificate from Chris Wright, BSI Commercial Training Director on behalf of Eurovia UK.
The certification follows an assessment by the British Standards Institute (BSI) to check that the asset management system in place conforms to the requirements of BSI standards. This includes the establishment, implementation, maintenance and improvement of a management system for asset management.
The certification process included an intensive series of audit days with BSI auditors. The first stage was carried out over two days in November 2016 and followed up by a second stage assessment over three days in March 2017.
Rob Gillespie, Ringway Regional Director, said: “The achievement of ISO 55001 accreditation within our Ringway Hounslow Highways business is significant. The European Standard is onerous and reflects the detail to which we manage our long-term asset assessment and asset management plans. Delivering sustained asset quality across a 25 year concession requires high levels of technical knowledge, network knowledge and detailed long-term asset modelling. This accreditation illustrates the strength in depth that Ringway and Eurovia has through its PFI businesses, JLUK and our internal delivery partners in Eurovia.”
