EUROVIA Employee helps frail man through Hull City Centre

Eurovia Contracting North has been in the Hull Daily Mail for a very different reason this week. A shopper captured one of our employees helping a frail man through Hull City Centre and sent it to the newspaper who then printed the photograph with a short article.

The Eurovia hero was Contracting North’s Jonathan Wright, Public Liaison Officer on the Hull City Centre Improvement Scheme.

Jonathan has been one of the two liaison officers working on the Hull project since early 2016 and, along with his colleague John Compton, they have worked hard to help smooth the interface between the Eurovia team and the local community.

One Hull shopper said, "He spent ages with him as he looked confused going round the orange barriers. I just thought it was nice that he took the time to help him."

New Spray Injection Patching Service: a low-cost solution to pothole problems

Eurovia Specialist Treatment (EST) is launching a new Spray Injection Patching (SIP) service to clients looking for alternative low-cost solutions to large-scale pothole problems. SIP is a cost-effective method of prolonging the life of a road with medium to severe deterioration, by sealing the surface to prevent further water ingress, the leading cause of potholes and surface defects. SIP not only eliminates the surface defect, but also minimises further damage by allowing clients time to identify further potential treatment options.
